PSV test centres & course locations in Malaysia

PSV courses are run by JPJ-registered driving institutes (institut memandu) all over Malaysia — there is no single national test centre. You attend the 6-hour course at an institute, then register your licence at a JPJ state or branch office in the same state. Below are institutes known to run PSV / e-hailing courses, plus the JPJ state offices where registration happens.

This list is a starting point, not the full register. JPJ publishes the official list — “List of Driving Institutes Throughout Malaysia That Implement PSV E-Hailing Course” — on its service information page. There are institutes in every state, including Selangor, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak. Always phone ahead: course dates, languages (Bahasa Melayu / English) and fees (RM70–RM200) differ by institute.
Office hours in brief: JPJ state and branch offices generally open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (closed for lunch 1:00–2:00pm, and for the Friday prayer break 12:15–2:45pm). In Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu the working week runs Sunday–Thursday. UTC counters keep longer hours but do not register new PSV licences. Full details: JPJ office hours page.

JPJ offices for PSV registration

Register in the same state as your course. JPJ counters inside UTCs do not process new PSV registrations. Confirm the current address, counter hours and any appointment requirement on jpj.gov.my before travelling.

What to bring on course day

  • MyKad and your Competent Driving Licence
  • Your completed JPJL8A medical form (some institutes let you do the medical after booking — ask when you call)
  • Course fee — ask about e-hailing operator subsidies before paying
  • A full day: the course is 6 hours, usually with breaks
